Health Promotion Clinics
The doctors and practice nurses will advise you on a healthy lifestyle. We currently run Asthma, Heart Disease Prevention, Andrology, Weight Management and Diabetic Clinics.
Patients over 75 are entitled to request an annual consultation to assess any health care needs they may have.

The Health Visitors can be contacted by telephone on 01709 336498 between 9.00am and 10.00am.
They are based at the Place, Coleridge Road. An answering machine is in operation outside these times and calls are monitored regularly.
Well Baby/Immunisations Clinic
These clinics offer well baby advice and a full vaccination programme. The health visitor is in attendance, and we carry out child health surveillance procedures according to national guidelines. You will receive a card through the post informing you of when your baby requires an injection.

Mental Health Team
If you do not speak English, or if you are deaf, hard of hearing, or deaf/blind, you can have interpretation services provided for you at no charge. Tell the person helping you that you need an interpreter.
Clifton Medical Centre no longer provides travel vaccinations.
The decision to stop providing travel vaccinations was made by the Practice as these services could be delivered elsewhere. This would give more capacity for clinics that are only provided in general practice i.e Diabetes, asthma, COPD.
There are local Pharmacies and Hospitals that run travel clinics.

Most of the services we provide are funded by our NHS contract. There are, however, some services which are not funded and a private charge applies. A list is available at reception.

The fees charged are based on the British Medical Association (BMA) suggested scales and our reception staff will be happy to advise you about them along with appointment availability.
Rotherham Institute for Obesity (RIO)
As of July 2017 this service will be decommissioned by the commissiner (RMBC) and so will cease to provide NHS services.
RIO is a specialist centre for the management of obesity which is based at Doncaster Gate. The service includes a gym, cooking classes, therapists and resource centre which provides specialist support for overweight and obese people.The service is provided for all patients registered at a practice in Rotherham, however they must be referred by a Doctor.
