Care Quality Commission

The CQC make sure that hospitals, care homes, dental and general practices and other care services in England provide people with safe, effective, caring, responsive and well led services. They monitor, inspect and regulate services to make sure they meet fundamental standards of quality and safety.

Clifton Medical Centre was routinely inspected in February 2016, and we are pleased to be awarded an overall rating of good.

We have already addressed the one area for improvement, contained with the ‘safe’ section of the inspection, which was around the procedural element when recruiting new team members, submitting the necessary paperwork to cqc.

Our team were recognised for the efforts that are made to ensure that we deliver ‘effective’ services to our patients as an outstanding rating was awarded in this category.

On 20th February 2017 CQC revisited the Practice to re-inspect our ‘safe’ area. CQC recognised we had made improvements in this area and as a result we are now rated as Good in this category.
